The Charter
The Student Cabinet is the constitutionally recognized elected governing council of the School of Computer Science Engineering and Technology at Bennett University, representing undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral scholars.
Established under the patronage of the Deanery, the Cabinet serves as the singular conduit between the student engineering body, faculty boards, corporate technology sponsors, and academic administrators.
Faculty Advisory Board
Comprising the Dean, Joint Dean, Deputy Dean, and Faculty Advisor. Provides continuous institutional oversight, academic alignments, budget authorizations, and regulatory accreditations.
Executive Office Bearers
Headed by the President, Vice President, Deputy Vice President, and General Secretary. Directs school-wide assemblies, manages policy drafting, and steers cross-departmental coordination.
Operational Drawers
Six autonomous functional divisions: Academic Affairs, Technical Affairs, Events & Culture, Design & Media, Outreach & Relations, and Student Welfare. Each led by a designated Department Head.
The Cabinet does not supersede technical societies; rather, it serves as their foundational infrastructure provider. We sanction budgets, clear university administrative approvals, allocate computing laboratories and auditoriums, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Through the Inter-Club Technical Derby and joint hackathon delegations, the Cabinet encourages interdisciplinary engineering between specialization, competitive coding, and applied research chapters.
Every sanctioned club undergoes an annual performance audit based on member participation, technical open-source releases, contest rankings, and external accolades.
Induction into the Student Cabinet occurs annually at the conclusion of the spring semester. Selection is open to all engineering scholars across three rigorous evaluation stages:
Candidates submit verified academic records, demonstrated technical or organizational portfolios, and a departmental statement of intent.
Shortlisted applicants execute timed practical tasks: infrastructure deployment, design drafts, or event production simulations.
Final interviews before the joint board of outgoing Office Bearers and Faculty Advisory Directors, evaluating leadership under pressure.
